In 2024 the Charleston Hurlers competed in five different tournaments around the southeast, contested a few friendlies and held the annual Charleston Pub League. In January the team traveled to Tampa and went 2-2 in the Suncoast 7s Tournament. The first ever Puc Fada for the club was held on the beach at Sullivan’s Island in February and was won by club keeper Ryan Finn. A busy March saw the club go 1-2 at the Camden Cup at the Camden SC Irish Festival as well as finish 2-2 at the Hostess City Hooley in Savannah GA. In April the club hosted the annual Holy City Cup. The largest Holy City Cup to date saw eight hurling teams (including 2 Charleston teams) as well a camogie cup being contested for the first time. Raleigh GAA took home the Cup while Red Wolves won the first ever Butler Preservation Camogie Cup. In May the club joined with Savannah as the Low Country Boils to compete at the Greenville Cup. To get some extra matches in over the summer months the squad played friendlies against Savannah (1-1), Red Wolves (0-1) and Columbia (1-0). Finally the season concluded with a highly contested Pub League in the fall. The Celt, led by Clay Gibson, made a come back and won the final two weeks of the season to take the league over Rec Room.
The club also held many social events including the New Years polar plunge, St Patrick’s day parades, brew trollies, beach day, trivia nights, All Ireland Final watch parties, Blood drive, Hosting the USGAA National Convention and a Holiday Oyster Roast.
