Sunday, September 25th marked the start of the Charleston Hurling Club’s third annual fall pub league. Thanks to established club members and several newcomers, the club was able to form three teams again this year: McCann’s, Recovery Room, and Seanachaí. All three teams, made up of veteran hurlers, recent recruits, and visitors in town for the weekend, played amazingly well this week despite the heat and slightly muddy field conditions.

It is considered the fastest game on grass, Hurling is an ancient sport across the pond in Ireland but in Charleston, the game is just breaking out of the infant stages.
