Derek Warfield recognizes efforts of Charleston hurling founders

Last night, Irish singer, songwriter, and historian Derek Warfield (of Wolfetones fame) visited Charleston while on his North American tour with his band, the Young Wolfe Tones. Hosted at Molly Darcy's of Charleston, the Young Wolfe Tones performed a fantastic set playing traditional Irish ballads and Warfield's famous rebel songs.

Warfield said, "Cheers to the big man, with the small ball."

During a break in performance, co-founder Ryan Shrum was invited on stage with the band for a brief announcement and recognition of the founding of the first Gaelic sports club in the Lowcountry.
